Renter’s Spirituality

The love we seem to own is owned from the center by a wider sphere of ownership. We do not own the love that we own up to.

We can learn that there is more to us than we once identified with - and as a matter of direct experience, whatever our beliefs or disbeliefs.

Very well put. Who owns anything when the life we seem to know is borrowed, on loan.

How you live relates to your beliefs. If you embrace a sense of ownership or believe you possess things or people, you are on a learning curve. You are in the process of raising self awareness of the immeasurable. As codakiz implies, everything we experience in the physical is on loan to teach lessons.

who holds love as their work,
who can ever own love, even quark
smaller?the infinite energy
which blows through universe,
is a veracious power,which
falls to the maya of love.
illsuion covers the love,
which is present as a venom
in all,the progenies of the infinity.
the transformation one faces,
when hit by a arrow,
one which sends phantasmagoria
of euphoria and nostalgia,
is an illsuion which turns real.
when lost in a sea,you become
a sojourn treasure,even if
you are a manifestation of
ever-infinity.while the self
seeks infinity,the hate-love,
love-hate of light illusive
penetrates one and draws
one into the mystic love.
if not for love,if not
for ecstasy,there will never be
a race,but only a single face.
yet love is the power
we all need,for its energy,
which shows pain and threads
us to mortal relations is
the pinnacle suit for realisation,
as mortal duties are experience
which are needed for renouncement.

love is constant,
love is infinite,
all of us own it,
none of us own it,
something owns it,
all of us are everything,
all of us are something,
all of us are nothing,
in the end it began
in infinty
and shall rest in infinity.

CODAKIZ: Borrowed or on loan - yes, that's the sense I was trying to get at.

LIARA: I can see how owning or possessing can also be used as a positive metaphor. I'm not sure I'd want to phrase this as believing that I possess things or people, but that way of putting it may have different connotations for you than for me.

VISHESH, thanks for that meditation.

Something that interests me a lot about love is what a common experience it is - both across and outside of religious traditions - and yet how pivotal it looks to me like it will be for the human race.

If we don't get with what's already with us, I think that our species' tenure on earth could be brief.

That's brilliant, it's the "this thing is bigger than all of us" feeling, there's a lot of things that get in the way of that, so that sometimes you can't even see it any more, but if there's just a glimpse then there's a hope of throwing all that off and you're left with what? just the whole point.

VISHESH: I like it -

MISTI: So do life and love maybe...?

HAZZBUZZ: Really glad that was evocative for you. Hard to get at some things with words.

Paul, I share your belief that ownership can also relate to a sense of self-understanding. I don't think ownership has to be seen as negative. A person can realize he or she possesses abilities and energy which are also uplifting.

MISTI, thanks, you too -

LIARA, yes.

One thing that often makes communication a challenge in the religion and spirituality area is that people can have different connotations and even denotations in mind for the same words.

KESHI, right - not even our lives belong to us in the proprietary way we're accustomed to telling ourselves.

Keep me posted...

Accoording to one stream of Hinduism, it is all MAYA, illusion. We are not existing at all.

GAUTAMI: Even literal illusions, hallucinations and dreams exist in some sense. It seems to me that some aspects of being might be described as more fully real than others, but I think not unreal.

I'm only superficially aquainted with the concept of Maya so I could well be off target here on its meaning...
